Josh Gleason is a director and producer whose work spans documentary film, television, and audio. It is defined by intimate access and a passion for documenting how American lives are shaped by work, family, and social change. His directing credits include The Disrupted (Amazon), True Believer (The Atlantic), and Finding Your Roots (PBS). He has produced for PBS’s Peabody-winning American Experience and Showtime’s Emmy-nominated The Circus. Before working in film, Josh reported and produced radio stories for This American Life and NPR. He is a 2026 Film Independent Fellow, a 2024 LEF/CIFF Fellow, a member of the DGA, and a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
