Quotes

  • [Thoughts on Nepotism in Bollywood] Everyone has their own journey. It hasn't been as easy as it would have been, had I been born in a film family. People would've known me even before I entered. I'd have probably got an opportunity more easily.
  • Fortunately, I don't think I have been put in a box. So that wasn't ever a thought I had. It was the idea to be creatively involved in projects that I feel passionate about, other than just being an actor. I wanted to immerse myself in all aspects of the process of filmmaking, as well as tell stories that I feel need to be told.
  • It is a huge honor and an equally big responsibility. I am very excited because I have always wished to use my voice and my influence for such a cause ... I feel gender equality is one such issue that is extremely important and broad.
  • National award is the highest order of validation that anyone can get in India. To receive it after just a decade in the industry, it gave me a lot of confidence in my own craft and potential, to also take risks and push the envelope.
