Jason Marsiglia is known for Hair of the Dog (2017), Welcome to Hell (2018) and Amber Alert. He has been married to Amanda since July 10, 2004. They have two children.

His very first screenplay, "Judgment Alley" was one of two scripts nominated for Best Horror Screenplay in a nation-wide screenwriter's competition hosted by Zoobody, and The Hidden (1987) producer Michael L. Meltzer.

His screenplay "Video Nasties" was twice nominated for Best Horror Screenplay. First as a Semi-Finalist in 2010 in the Shriekfest competition founded by Denise Gossett, and again in 2011 as a Finalist in the Freakshow Film Festival, by Robert J. Massetti.

Is good friends with iconic horror actresses Felissa Rose and Debbie Rochon.

Often cited George A. Romero as his primary inspiration to become a writer, stating that seeing Creepshow (1982) when he was 8 years old is the moment he realized he wanted to make films and write horror. He eventually met Romero in April, 2017 and was able to tell him face-to-face what his films meant to him, to which the filmmaker jokingly responded, "I'm very happy to have inspired you, and also very sorry! You've got a tough road ahead, but if you love what you do and stay passionate, you'll be just fine." Romero passed away less than 3 months later, and Jason has said that "[meeting him] when I did meant the world to me, and I'm truly grateful for that brief, but incredibly important moment where I was able to thank my hero in person".
