Biography

Melisa Henderson is an actress and presenter. She was born in Sydney, Australia, to a Filipina mother from the province of Ilocos Norte, and a New Zealander father of Scottish and Irish decent.

Melisa has had a supporting role on Australia's highly publicised TV mini-series 'House of Hancock' on Nine Network Australia.

In the Philippines, Melisa was a series regular actor on GMA's prime-time drama 'Twin Hearts,' and ABS-CBN comedy sitcoms 'Oki Doki Doc' and 'Da Body en da Guard'. Additionally, she has had multiple guest star appearances on each network, including 'Star Studio Presents,' 'Whattamen,' 'Kakabakaba,' 'K2BU', 'Home Along Da Rilez,' and 'Pwedeng Pwede.'

Melisa has also been a mainstay co-host on ABS-CBN's dance variety program 'Keep On Dancing,' IBC's daily noon-time variety show 'Lunch Break Muna,' and as a VJ on Pinoy Central's music video program 'T20.' Melisa was also a regular guest host on daily noon-time variety program 'Magandang Tanghali Bayan.'

Melisa's great grandparents, on her fathers side, owned a picture theatre in Katikati, New Zealand. Her great-grandmother played the piano accompanying silent films, and it was recalled that if the movie broke down, she would entertain by playing the piano whilst Melisa's great-grandfather would tap dance on stage until things were ready to start again.

During Melisa's time away from the entertainment industry, she worked as an international flight attendant for an airline based out of Dubai.
