Biography

Alon Shtruzman

Mini bio

  • Alon Shtruzman is a TV and film producer, former executive at Viacom, Fox, and Nat Geo, and the founder and CEO of global studio and distribution group Keshet International.

Shtruzman is a seasoned media executive and a cable TV pioneer. In the early 1990s, he joined ICP, the Israeli cable industry’s content company, and played a key role in launching the country’s first cable networks and some of its major TV stars. In 1995, after serving as Creative Director and Head of Original Production for ICP, he joined the founding team of Israel's first independent channel producer, Noga Communication. After spending several years abroad studying and developing Noga's international business, Shtruzman returned to Israel and launched a series of new cable networks such as the local Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., The Good Life Channel, etc.

In 2004, he rejoined ICP as Managing Director for all national cable networks and content, later becoming the first Vice President of Content for the merged cable-group HOT. During this time, he introduced one of the world's first Video on Demand (VOD) services and commissioned and produced several successful shows and feature films, including "Some One to Run With", "The Arbitrator", and the acclaimed "In Treatment" which was sold to HBO and dozens of other countries and became the biggest-selling scripted format of the 21st century.

In 2007, Shtruzman joined News Corp.'s Fox International Channels to drive its digital and non-linear expansion in the UK, Europe, and Asia. Throughout his career, he served as chairman and board member of several media, production, and tech companies and was featured in the 2013 Dealmakers Impact Report as a recognition of Keshet International’s fast growth under his leadership through organic expansion and M&As. In 2014, backed by a first-look deal with NBCU, Shtruzman relocated from London to Los Angeles to launch Keshet Studios. Shtruzman is known for hundreds of TV shows and films, such as "La Brea", The A Word", and the award-winning "In Treatment", "A Small Light", "Our Boys", and "Tatami".
