Jacopo Messina is a Sound Technician and Sound Designer based in Catania, Sicily. He moved to New York in 2011 to study filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, specializing in location sound and sound post-production.
His work spans feature films, documentaries, TV and web series, commercials, and live events. His film credits include (Dis)Honesty: The Truth About Lies, Chiara Ferragni: Unposted, and Dreamkatcher, distributed by Lionsgate and starring Henry Thomas, Radha Mitchell, and Lin Shaye.
He has collaborated with international brands including L’Oréal, Dior, McDonald’s, MoMA, Snapchat, and Revlon, and has taught Sound for Film and Video at the University of Connecticut, Pace University, and as part of the regional project "Catania Vibra," in collaboration with the Municipality of Catania and the DiSummer Cultural Association.
Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, he brings an international perspective and extensive experience to every production.
