Vugar Samson (also known as "Grandpa") is a Cameroonian actor and acting coach with over 30 years of experience in film, television, and theatre. He has appeared in more than 50 films and numerous television and radio productions, becoming one of the veteran figures of Cameroonian performing arts.
His film credits include Forbidden Desire (2006), Mark of the Absolute (2009), Full Moon (2017), Fourth Generation (2020), and The Testament (2016). In 2019, he wrote, produced, and directed the social TV drama Let’s Heal Old Wounds.
He is the recipient of multiple awards, including the Gold Medal in Drama at the National Festival of Arts and Culture and the Best Actor Award at the African Film and Culture Festival (TAFF 2020).
Beyond acting, he serves as an acting coach and mentor, training young performers across regional arts institutions in Cameroon.
