Mahdi Alimirzaee

Mahdi Alimirzaee was born in 1979 in Isfahan. He is known as a screenwriter & Director, most of his works are comedy with interest and attention to Woodyallen and Nitsche. He wrote the script of Guidance Patrol Gasht-e ershad (2012) which satirized moral police and guidance patrols in Iran. This debated film sparked controversy in Iran and caused mass protests of extremists and radical groups, and also made him famous. After that he wrote the script of Paradise which was filmed in Berlin, and ever since has been banned because of harsh criticism of the Islamic Republic. In this film, the Iranian government is recommended to confess to its gap with true Islam and not to identify its mistakes with Islam. 1th born is His First Hollywood screenplay made in 2018 in L.A.
