A London-based writer and director from Kazakhstan. In 2010, he co-founded a family production company and began directing films.
Berlinale Talents and Busan AFA fellow. His short film Sex, Fear and Hamburgers (2018) was selected for the Venice Film Festival. His debut feature Mountain Onion(2022) became a finalist of the Biennale Cinema College program.
