Biography

Bharat Regmi is a highly acclaimed film editor from Nepal, with over a decades of experience in fiction and nonfiction filmmaking. He began his career editing music videos, gradually transitioning into documentaries and eventually feature films. His work is known for its emotional depth, strong storytelling, and visual rhythm.

Bharat has edited several award-winning films and documentaries. He received the National Film Award 2025 from the President of Nepal for his work on the blockbuster film Pujar Sarki. The film also earned him the Rural Film Festival Award 2025 and the Lucky Film Award 2025 for Best Film Editor. Another major highlight of his career is the internationally acclaimed documentary Sunakali, which was selected by 23 international film festivals and won 16 awards.

Bharat is a member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE) International Partnership and a jury member for the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Awards in both 2024 and 2025. He is also an active member of the Hollywood Professional Association.
