  • Magali Serre is a freelance journalist and documentary filmmaker, working mainly on international investigations. She has done several documentaries on the African continent where she lived for several years. She notably made a documentary on the « Biens mal acquis », covering judicial proceedings against 3 African presidents.   • For almost 20 years, Magali Serre has been a freelance director and writer of investigation and history documentaries, broadcast in France and all over the world. She is especially interested in financial transparency and geopolitical issues.

    In 2000, she participated, as international correspondent, in the creation of the French TV program Pièces à Convictions, for which she filmed about twenty reports. She has covered the scandal surrounding the Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, in Lebanon and Egypt, as well as the rise of Salafism in Paris, as part of a report on a jihadist cell in the Buttes de Chaumont neighborhood. Today, she is president and member of the editorial committee of Disclose, the first non-profit investigative media organization in France, which revealed in April 2019 the use of French weapons by Saudi Arabia to bombard civilians in Yemen.

    Her recent filmography includes:Europe, land of jihad (3X52 minutes, Arte, Rts, RTBF, 2023), Iran under sanctions (Arte, Rts, 2020), Hissen Habre: Trial of a Dictator (France 5 / Al Jazeera EN, Rts, RTBF 2016); The Buttes-Chaumont Network: How the Monster Grew (France 3, 2015); Private Jet, High Level Traffic (Canal + 2014).

    She is also the author of the book « The Wildenstein » (Lattès, 2013), the story of the biggest art dealer family of the 20th century.
