Alaine Huntington has worked across both independent and larger-budget films, notably contributing to the documentary Dominion and Kickboxer: Vengeance, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Originally from North Miami Beach, Florida she earned a degree in Environmental Science, Multimedia, and Religious Studies from the University of Alabama. Though she had no formal theater training initially, she later received a scholarship to study under Harvard instructors from Moscow Arts Theatre School [MxAT] during an intensive program. This experience led her to work behind the scenes in multiple film departments, refining her skills in film and event production, as well as acting.
Alaine started her journey in media, with technical operations for DragonCon, followed by work in radio broadcasting and music production. She recorded independent news, musicians, and storytellers as well as collaborated with Tulane University and Stillman College to document historical interviews of the American South. Her early film projects focused on differently abled and unhoused military veterans, as well as highlighting the consequences of the BP oil disaster on coastal Louisiana-using storytelling to shed light on pressing issues. As an event producer, Alaine has organized sponsorships, teach-ins, and festivals which offer resources to those facing adversity of all walks of life and U.S. military veterans in need.
