Sergio Freijo

Born in Barcelona, Sergio Freijo is a Spanish actor working across film, television, and theatre. He is known for his work in Bird Box Barcelona, the second season of Warrior Nun, and Afterburn, where he has collaborated with internationally renowned actors such as Tristán Ulloa, Dave Bautista, and Kristofer Hivju. His most recent screen work includes Matar a un oso (Movistar Plus+), where he shares a storyline with Pol López and María Rodríguez Soto.
He began his acting training at a young age at Escola Eòlia. Alongside his artistic development, he earned a degree in Political Science before being accepted into the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, where he trained for two years.
On stage, he made his professional debut ten years ago in Kyla by Lars Norén. Since then, he has worked in a wide range of productions, including Malnascuts at Sala Beckett alongside Laura Weissmahr, Elena Martín, and Àlex Monner, as well as performing at Repertorio Español in New York. More recently, he has worked under the direction of Romeo Castellucci in a production starring Isabelle Huppert.
Raised in a family restaurant environment surrounded by artists and filmmakers, he developed an early curiosity for storytelling and performance. A native speaker of both Spanish and Catalan, he is fluent in English and also speaks French and Galician. His skills extend to voice work-having dubbed his own performances-as well as stage combat and martial arts.
Often cast as strong, enigmatic, and complex characters, he remains eager to explore new genres and push the boundaries of his range as an actor.
