Biography

Philip Strick was a producer, known for The Amazing Years of Cinema (1976), An Edwardian Childhood (1975) and The BBC2 Film Competition (1983). He died on October 7, 2006.

Philip Strick was a British film critic. He once worked for a company specializing in the distribution of feature films on 16mm. for use by film societies, and, perhaps as a result, became the film clubs correspondent for "Films And Filming" magazine in 1966.

[on Bunuel's "Simon Of The Desert", 1969]: A startling, charming and healthily wicked little anecdote, with easily more sense to its hard theology than one could find in a whole tribe of biblical epics.
