Biography

Zhaleh ("Zsha-lay") is an actress, writer, producer, and attorney. She returns to Prime Video in November 2026 as Veronica in The Chosen Season 6, following her MCU debut in Marvel Studios' Ironheart opposite Anthony Ramos. In 2026, she premiered two films on the festival circuit: Son of a Bikram at SXSW, where the film received the Special Jury Award, and California Scenario at SBIFF, opposite Will Yun Lee and Abby Miller. Since 2021, Zhaleh has built a television resume across eight acclaimed series including AMC's Better Call Saul, FX's Mayans M.C., Netflix's Cobra Kai, NBC's Chicago Med, Hulu's The Dropout, and HBO's The Rehearsal. Her work spans acclaimed television, award-winning independent film, and stage performance, including Shakespeare awards and best actress nominations in independent film.

A J.D. magna cum laude, Zhaleh works across multiple dialects and languages and has training in fight choreography and MMA. Since 2025, she has been developing original projects under her production company, Zesty Pictures. Drawn to complex women, heightened worlds, and character-driven storytelling, she brings intellectual precision, physical command, and emotional depth to a body of work shaped by nuance and transformation.

Zhaleh's father was born and emigrated from Iran.

Passed the California Bar Exam (first).

Attended Law School in Los Angeles CA pursuing a JD in Entertainment Law.

Zhaleh has won multiple awards for theatrical performances in period & epics plays, including a performance as Constance in Shakespeare's King John.
