Baris Konbal was born in the capital of Turkey, Ankara. He started to study cinema at Istanbul University in 2004. During his study, to be able to experience every aspect of the filmmaking industry, he started to work as a production assistant and an assistant director.
He started his cinematography career working on short films and documentaries with local and multi-national production companies.
He later started working on TV commercials and music videos around the MENA region and in Turkey expanding to Europe, the United States of America and Mexico.
Aside from his first passion "Cinematography", he enjoys traveling the world and experiencing the different cultures and the fine art and architecture that feeds his mind and soul.
He believes that , throughout a human's life every day makes a new learning experience.
He is currently based in Doha, Qatar.
