Biography

Eivid Nina Pedersen graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts where she studied Film and Television production, Screenwriting, and the Cinematic Arts. Half Thai and half Norwegian, she grew up in Norway in the 1980s but went to Thailand when she landed a record deal with Sony as a singer/songwriter. Here, she spent a lot of time exploring her roots and later working in various media outlets. She soon ventured out as a director and cinematographer for music videos where she collaborated with a variety of established Asian artists - mainly in the Hip Hop & Pop genres.

Now, Eivid's love of old cinema and telling stories has led her on a journey toward directing and writing in the realm of narrative filmmaking. Growing up with a Thai mother in a predominantly white community, Eivid's stories often thematically deal with otherness and being the underdog. She hopes to utilize her immense dedication to storytelling in the arts to challenge the viewer's perception.
