Héctor Oscar Cañas is a musician and audiovisual director from Isidro Casanova, Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he has lived for most of his life. His artistic career bridges the independent music scene and screen production.
As a musician, he has primarily played bass and performed as lead vocalist across various alternative and rock bands, including DNI (Dulces Niños Irónicos), Magots, Mutar, HDR, and Lo Efímero.
Alongside his musical path, he studied at CIEVYC in the City of Buenos Aires, graduating as an Audiovisual Director in 2019, bringing his musical background and rhythmic sensibility into his filmmaking work.
