Born in Coventry, England in 1986 to Lyn and Don Menary, Tom made short
films in his youth with his father, and wrote a series of comics and
stories. He studied Media at Bridgwater College, Somerset, where he met
Jim Elton. In 2010 they founded the amateur film group Wingless Films,
in Plymouth, Devon, and over the next two years directed and produced
over thirty short and experimental productions, including the
award-nominated sci-fi films "Capsule" and "Scout" in 2011. Tom studied
English and Creative Writing at Plymouth University. In 2012 Wingless
Films began a web series with
Julian Seager and Boyd Rogers titled "The
Lite Blues".
