Fabian Waintal
Fabian Waintal started writing as journalist in Buenos Aires, Argentina
when he was 16 years old. Before he was 18 the Argentinian magazine
Gente started publishing his entertainment column. He moved from Buenos
Aires to Los Angeles, California, on January 14, 1990, to work as the
L.A. correspondent for the same magazine while starting to do celebrity
interviews for Vanidades Magazine, the most important magazine in Latin
America.
Since 1990, he has covered the Academy Awards more than 30 years in a row for more than 20 international media outlets and he has been an executive producer for the international Oscars TV transmission twice.
As the Los Angeles Correspondent for Vanidades magazine, he has interviewed the most important celebrities including Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Katy Perry, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, among many others. His interviews have been published also in more than 50 countries including Spain (ABC & Diez Minutos), Latin America (Marie Claire and Infobae), Mexico (Excelsior & Vanguardia), Puerto Rico (Vocero), Dominican Republic (Diario Libre), Peru (Caretas), Paraguay (Ultima Hora), Panama (La Prensa), El Salvador (Diario de Hoy), Nicaragua (La Prensa), Honduras (El Heraldo), Guatemala (Amiga), Ecuador (El Expreso), Colombia (El Espectador), Argentina (Gente), France (Pause Santé) and Italy (Marie Claire and Oggi).
Fabian Waintal has been married to the Argentinian actress Stella Maris Medrano since August 29, 1990, although they actually started dating August 29, 1986. He is the father of twin daughters Melody and Megan Waintal (born May 3, 1997, Los Angeles, California). One of her daughters, Melody Waintal has followed Fabian path, at the age of 13, when she started to publish her own Hollywood column in the international magazine Top Teen before she became the USC Annenberg Media Managing Editor, in 2020.
