Rupesh Talaskar

Rupesh Talaskar (born 3 June 1984) is an Indian creative producer, filmmaker, and concept artist known for Dhurandhar (2025), Jawan (2023), and Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021). With over two decades of experience in the Indian entertainment industry, he is widely recognized for his work across mainstream Bollywood and South Indian cinema, specializing in digital character development, prosthetics design, tattoo design, and cinematic world-building.

Renowned for translating complex narratives into powerful visual identities, Talaskar has played a pivotal role in shaping character-driven visual storytelling for numerous high-profile film and television productions. His work bridges fine art, technology, and performance design, making him one of the most respected visual development specialists in contemporary Indian cinema.

Career:

Concept Artist & Character Designer

Talaskar specializes in immersive digital concept art for hair, makeup, prosthetics, and character transformation. He served as a principal concept artist on the 2025 feature film Dhurandhar, where he developed multiple character avatars for actor Ranveer Singh, contributing extensively to the film’s visual identity and pre-visualization process.

Creative Producer & Director

Since 2019, he has held senior creative leadership roles, serving as Creative Director at "Da Game Changer" (since 2022) and Character Concept Designer at "Da Makeup Lab." In these roles, he oversees creative development, visual execution, and storytelling design for films, commercials, and branded content.

Storyboard Artist

A master of visual storytelling, Talaskar has created storyboards for feature films, television commercials, and music videos, collaborating with major brands such as LIC, Intel, and PepsiCo (Lay’s). His work is recognized for cinematic composition, narrative precision, and strong emotional clarity.

Illustrator

For over 15 years, Talaskar has been the principal illustrator for bestselling author Ashwin Sanghi, most recently illustrating the 2025 novel The Ayodhya Alliance, contributing significantly to the visual interpretation of Sanghi’s literary universe.
