Eamon Long

Eamon Michael Long grew up in Chula Vista, a suburb of San Diego, California.He was raised by his Mother and his Step-father in Chula Vista until 2003 where he was accepted into the University of Pacific in Stockton, California and enrolled in the 5-Year accelerated Master Program in Mechanical Engineering. After making friends in the Film Studies Department, Eamon reversed course and returned to San Diego to pursue a degree in Film Studies.

Attending San Diego Community College he received his degree in Telecommunication: Radio/Television/Film and went on to be representative for the United States and California in the Binational Association of Schools of Communications.(BINACOM). Studying abroad in Mexico with Cinematographers and Camera Operators in the jungle, desert, and high mountains, he took to coming back home to San Diego. Eamon went on to spearhead the first sports television series in San Diego focused on Mixed Martial Arts and eventually went on to have his show, "Epic Fighting," in syndication in 3 states, California, Arizona, Nevada. He then left the show to join the staff at University of California: San Diego as an Executive Producer and 1st Unit DP for all in-house/on campus videos with his colleague and former High School Math teacher, Alvin Angeles.

After moving through the ranks on set from PA to 2nd Ac to 1st, to Jr. Op, to full fledged Camera Operator under the guidance of Bry Sanders, John Beattie, Cort Fey ASC and Dave Frederick SOC, Eamon was initiated into the prestigious Society of Camera Operators, gaining the coveted SOC title.

Following 2 years of reality television shows, he went onto be accepted into the IATSE Local 600, "International Cinematographers Guild," Eamon resides in Downtown Los Angeles, continually moving forward in his goal of Short films, narrative television, and Full length Features.
