Biography

Matt Love had a long, successful career in the fields of both rock and roll.

Early in his career, he attracted critical attention for his role in the Wenatchee Washington-based Cringeworthies, a band that struck a delightful balance between Harry Chapin and Young Marble Giants.

Later in life he turned his attention to the movies, and appeared in several of them.

Matt Love's first screen work was appearing as "Hippie Father With Baby" in Jonathan Kaplan's 1983 film, Heart Like A Wheel, Starring Bonnie Bedelia as drag racer Shirley Muldowney. Love's scene was cut during the editing process.

When I sing it sounds like a hippo trying to climb out of an overturned rail car. When I dance, that's what it looks like, too.
