Simona Ilaria di Michele

Italian citizen, residing in America since the end of 2014. Her childhood dream was to become an astronaut. For a short time, she has been in the Italian Air Force, where her first dream was shattered for a few reasons. Now she is taking her pilot's license. She often competed as an athlete, pole vaulter, obtaining excellent results at regional and national levels in her childhood. Simona also earned a diploma in acting at Officina Teatrale in Foggia. Thus she was an actress for several years in small theater companies. The athletic and theater become incisors in Simona's determined personality. During her degree in Media Design and New Media Art, a degree in Filmmaking and Producing at UCLA in Los Angeles, She also got a master's degree in Graphic design and advertising, again in Italy. She cultivated a passion for cinema that was growing more every day. She works with several movies, television, and advertising studios, in Italy and also abroad. Simona has collaborated with Bonsaininja Studio, Visionaire Media (USA), Batoota Films (Lebanon), Indiana Production, where she directed several commercials, including Armani Perfumes. In 2006 she made her debut as an assistant producer for the movie Bobby directed by Emilio Estevez. (The film recounts the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy). Here Simona has seen her work alongside actors of the caliber of Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Lindsay Lohan, and many others. In 2009 she completed her first job as director and producer Invisibility. In 2010, working alongside Andrea Pellizzari for the project "Mr. Brown for Haiti" (with the aim of collecting funds for the Fondazione Francesca Rava - NPH Italy Onlus for the construction of a new house for the reception of unaccompanied children following the earthquake) Simona worked with the graphics of the music video "Mr. Brown is Back in Town" (produced by Universal Music Italy), editing the remix of Dino Lenny and various services for the Italian national television. Simona I.d.M. is known for her artistic style in her short films of the social genre, often displaying bisexual characters, which aim to tell and to ask questions where the viewers will have to answer. The last short- movie she wrote and directed is UnderSense, the journey of a woman's mind to closely touch the various social problems of a woman determined and free, with many issues to feel love. Simona moves to Los Angeles, where she works side by side with the director Simon Brand, producing Bandolero. Simona decided then to follow her dream and open her own company, Lionfly Productions. With her company, she started to develop an interest in the psychological/crime/thriller genre. Simona was the first Assistant Director for the Future film A town called Purgatory, directed and produced TV show Bloodlends, produced Cyper, collaborated with Storyboard Media on ComebackTrial and Arkansas. Simona directed and produced her first feature film: #Clique.
