- IMDb mini biography by: Natasha Lush - Tanner James Gordon is an award winning Latino American filmmaker. He began his career at an early age, producing his first theatrically released feature film at 22 years old. Shortly after the success of his feature film, he was hired at a post production house and ad agency, where he began producing commercials for some of the biggest companies in the world. With clients like Apple, Facebook and Google under his roster, Tanner decided to step away from the commercial world in 2018 to start his own production company.
Separate from his career in the commercial industry, Tanner found a love for travelling and storytelling. His breath of work since then, has been largely shaped by his experiences abroad. From walking through abandoned radioactive cities in Chernobyl, to interviewing North Korean defectors at the Northern Limit Line in Korea, his desire to tell captivating stories about real people around the world has resonated deeply in the work he produces.
In 2018, Tanner and his creative team launched their companies Coalescence Entertainment LLC and the Coalescence Foundation. This socially responsible production company produces narrative films about social issues happening around the world in an effort to raise awareness through the power of storytelling. And along with the help of their foundation, a percentage of each film's profits are donated to NGO associated with the cause.
Coalescence Entertainment was awarded the first prize at the Frontier Co-op Tippie Impact competition and the first prize winner of the Rose Fracisis pitch competition in 2018. With a strong devotion for producing and directing meaningful work, Tanner Gordon has set his sites on making a social impact on the way Hollywood produces its films.
