Biography

Dani Faith Leonard is a writer, comedian and producer. Born in Long Island, NY, Dani trained as a musical theater performer throughout her childhood and at the University of Miami. After performing in Off-Broadway productions, she found her home with sketch comedy troupe Really Sketchy.

Dani created and hosts the live comedy show Adult Sex Ed (Caveat, National Lampoon), which plugs the holes in your education. Her comedy and writing frequently centers around sex and relationships, but she also loves a historical deep dive. Her work has been featured by Refinery 29, Nylon, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, and more.

From 2010 - 2021, Dani co-founded and ran Big Vision Empty Wallet, an inclusion-focused film and media incubator. Through Big Vision Empty Wallet, she produced and supported dozens of feature films that premiered at top festivals, and screened in theaters and on streaming platforms. Films that Dani produced with Big Vision Empty Wallet include Coast (Producer, 2022), Lez Bomb (Executive Producer, 2018) and The Light of the Moon (Executive Producer, 2017).

She co-hosts the Creative Producing Conference, is a member of Women Independent Producers, and is on the advisory board of Catalyst Content Festival. She has spoken at Sundance, SXSW, many colleges, and is an advocate for arts education.
