Sanjay Amar is an independent filmmaker and founder of Amar Chand Motion Pictures (est. 2014). From Jammu to the heart of Mumbai’s cinema world, his body of work is defined by a commitment to raw, human-centric storytelling. His career spans impactful non-fiction (Halaat Ke Shikaar, Doordarshan), cross-continental animation (Bo Mamo, Dubai Broadcast Content), and incisive feature filmmaking (Future To Bright Hai Ji). As a producer and director, his breakout project Identity Card - Ek Lifeline critically examined identity and power dynamics in conflict zones. Across all media, Sanjay Amar avoids standard tropes in favor of authentic, provocative storytelling that leaves a lasting impression.
