Hamid Kayani
- Director
- Actor
- Writer
Hamid became an official member of the industry at age 10 as a child
actor. Then in 1976 he was a station host for Azad Radio. He went on to
television drama and sitcoms. He produced, directed, and played the
lead in over twenty major theatrical productions, such as "Love Changes
The World." He used the technical understanding and creative insight he
gained from that experience to direct and act in his own feature films:
Naukar, Shama, Gulestan, Parinda, Freshta, The Lady Typist, and Akaeli
Raat.
Hamid traveled the globe, eventually, in 1985, settling in New York City where he started his clothing line called Kayani Uomo. He put his acting and film making talents on hold and made a full transition into the fashion industry. However he never lost his true passion - story telling via cinema.
