Biography

Gianmarco Donaggio (b.1991) is an Italian avant-garde director, cinematographer, and artist. Considered a highly innovative filmmaker, he is known for his poetic and atmospheric films in which he pioneers alternative approaches in cinematography. For instance, the experimentations using unique cameras/lenses and unusual recording techniques. Donaggio's films (primarily) expand, challenge, deviate, and transgress the fundamental assumptions allocated culturally and historically to cinematic expression.
