Biography

Gianinni Semedo Moreira is a writer, director, and producer based between Los Angeles and the Netherlands. His work spans genre films combining cinematic scale, emotional storytelling, and a movement-driven visual style shaped by his background as a world-touring dancer and choreographer.

Before moving into filmmaking, Gianinni performed and choreographed for major artists and productions including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kanye West, Shakira, Paula Abdul, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour.

His film The Border won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2021 Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge in Los Angeles, leading to feature development with Shout! Studios. His projects have screened at festivals including the Burbank International Film Festival and the Micheaux Film Festival.

Gianinni recently completed principal photography in Greece on his feature directorial debut, CHRONOS.
