Rocky C Karlage Photographer and Filmmaker

Short Bio/Resume

Rocky is an Award-winning Screenwriter and Producer, and co-owner/CEO/Creative Director of Ghost Walk Studios, LLC and The Remus Gang, LLC film studios.

A former computer engineer after a stint in the U.S. Army, Rocky began photography work in Toledo, Ohio with monthly shoots of aspiring models. This evolved into his own studio Sin City Dreams Photography which he hopes to bring back to life. His movie career began by meeting and discussing filming with cinematographer Steve Olander at the Cleveland indie Gathering Film Festival. Rocky then developed the "Ghost Walk Saga" film series with model Victoria Vardon for Ghost Walk Studios (previously Ghost Walk Productions) as a photographer and then screenwriter for his first films "The Harvest Ball" and the true story "Ghost Walk: The Farm" which continues to win gold trophies and festival awards for over 10 years. The second feature in the series "Estella’s Revenge" is in final edit by Michael Kunz for 2027 release.

Rocky also co-produced "Maggie Shayne's Embrace The Twilight" with his close friend Carlos Dunn with almost daily phone calls. Carlos tragically passed from cancer before filming of the production was finished. With his Ghost Walk film partners Victoria & Tony Vardon and film crew, they finished the movie in 2020 to honor his movie dreams.

Always developing something new as time, dollars, and crew availability allows. Feature films in development are the retro horror "Dead Slate", written by Kerry Fleming with a short film introduction "Dead Slate: Beginnings" shown at Horrorhound Spring Event in 2025. A True Crime "film noir" feature "The Remus Gang", written by Rocky Karlage & Ariel Rodgers, is also in development. A proof-of-concept short film "Revenge" from the same writers has reached final edit by Michael Kunz and will release for viewing and fundraising Summer 2026.
