Mini bio

  • At the age of 6 months, Cue Denick's thespian father thrust him into the arms of theater as a background actor where he played the role of a baby girl in Fences. Watching his father perform on Broadway greatly influenced his decision to pursue a career in entertainment. He grew up working next to his father behind the scenes learning theatre in every capacity. Most of his time was spent in front the television when he wasn't writing, performing, or designing props. "Back to the Future" inspired him to write stories. Storytelling came naturally while prevaricating his way out of trouble. Instead of being labeled a liar, his grandmother called him the storyteller. Relocating to another state was difficult as a teenager. Cue's grades dropped drastically. His English teacher saw potential in his writing. English became his favorite subject and his grades improved. He won his first screenwriting contest in high school. Job security on Broadway was secure until 9/11 terrorist attacks. Unemployment changed Cue's life. He packed all of his personal belongings and moved to Hollywood in search of better opportunities. Most of his free time was spent creating YouTube videos and editing. Someone saw his work and suggested he attend film school. Cue's journey as a filmmaker began September 2011 at the Los Angeles Film School (LAFS) in Hollywood. The transition from theatre to film was easy. He attended writing workshops while learning every aspect of filmmaking. In 2013, he successfully wrote, directed, and screened his first short film A Witch's Tale as a thesis project. He's been passionate about writing television scripts since graduating film school. In the beginning, LAFS professors pushed him in the right direction as a screenwriter, director, 1st AD, and editor. While working as a 1st AD in the industry with many reputable and well-known talents, he attended Columbia College of Hollywood for Cinema and Television. Cue writes and directs short films and pilots while working in the entertainment industry.
