Darryl John Hannan is an award-winning composer based in Norwich, UK. Specialising in music for motion picture, he has worked on a myriad of projects throughout his career with clients from London to Los Angeles. Most notably, working with director George Bamber (Pitch Perfect, Men in Black II) on Kept Boy as well as Hansel Rodrigues on Horse Play which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.
In 2021 Darryl was selected for the prestigious BAFTA Crew programme where he worked along side some of the finest talents in the British film industry.
Ever since picking up an electric guitar at aged 12, Darryl's destiny has been music. He played in progressive rock bands throughout his teens, predominantly as lead songwriter. However, it was after hearing Danny Elfman's score for Batman that Darryl found his true calling.
Darryl keeps the collaborative spirit alive and works best bouncing ideas between himself and those with whom we works. His passion, attention to detail and the emotional perception of his music have created a number of long standing collaborations.
In addition to Film and Television, Darryl has written music for several commercials for clients such as Chef Online, the University of East Anglia and the exam board, OCR.
