Garrett Abdo obtained his bachelor of fine arts degree in acting and directing from FAU. Starting in stand up 33 years ago booking one nighters lead him to open the prestigious Uptown Comedy Corner in 1993. Managing acts like Earthquake, Michael "chicken" Roof, Rickey Smiley, Kountry Wayne and Jess Hilarious he has helped place comedians in film and TV for three decades including talent coordinator for BounceTV's "Off the Chain". He is a managing partner of the Upscale Atlanta Comedy Theater. Abdo was the first person to headline Dave Chappelle, the first person to ever pay Chris Tucker to perform comedy and his stage helped launch the careers of hundreds of comedians including Mike Epps, Finesse Mitchell and many more. Abdo discovered a young raw talent named Matt Rife when he was 16 years old and built the foundation of his stand up career moving Rife to LA.
