Nikki Meow

Nikki Meow was born and raised in The Bronx, N.Y. She started performing at a young age, and always loved to act and sing. In 1994, being only 18, she moved to San Francisco and began her love affair with the California lifestyle. Nikki moved back to N.Y. in 1996 and decided to pursue her love of cooking and creating. She graduated culinary school in 1997 and has worked for some of the best restaurants and Chefs on both the East and West Coasts. She still cooks professionally, as it is one of her many passions and talents.

In 2009, Nikki met Artist/Actor/Comedian, Jay Luna and it sparked what was to become a life changing experience both professionally and personally. The creative chemistry between them gave birth to the idea of producing a magazine to showcase both of their talents as artists and through the process, it evolved into a pilot for a web series titled, Planet Houston. The 30 minute show is a horror comedy that features both traditional and stop motion animation, as well as sketch comedy skits, and music, all embracing their love of the horror genre.

Planet Houston quickly gained notoriety and has been praised by many. Because of Planet Houston showcasing their many talents, Nikki and Jay were approached about the idea having their own radio show, and once the idea was introduced, their second collaboration was born. The two now co-host a weekly program on blogtakradio called The Phantom Zone Radio Show, which once again revolves around their creative wit, comedy flare, improvisational skills, and love of the horror genre. They feature guests from all corners of the entertainment industry who all in some way, shape or form are directly involved in or are just true fans of horror. The world wide reach of their radio show is gaining them a huge following and is making Nikki's signature catch phrase "Meow" part of the every day vernacular.

Nikki also has a second podcast that airs on the first of the month, hosted by The Phantom Zone called The Flow : A Celebration of Women in Horror. Her co- hosts are Kaci Hansen a.k.a The Homicidal Homemaker and Char Hardin, horror writer and host of another blogtalkradio program titled, Charred Remains. 3 sisters of horror who get together for their time of the month, and features women that are making strides in the world of horror.

Nikki and Jay are juggling between Planet Houston and The Phantom Zone, which is leading to other collaborative projects with some of indie horror's rising stars. Nikki Meow is quickly becoming an online presence because of her comedic talent, personality, and knack for spotting other talented people to help support and promote. Nikki Meow has always been ahead of the curb and her career in the entertainment industry is off to an amazing start.
