Dick Tiger
He began his professional boxing career in 1952, and after going to England in 1955, he developed quickly.
Tiger started boxing in the United States in 1959, and in 1962 he defeated Gene Fullmer in a 15-round decision to win the WBA middleweight title. Tiger lost his title to American Joey Giardello in a 15-round decision in 1963.
Tiger reclaimed the championship in 1965, defeating Giardello in 15 rounds. In 1966, he lost the title in 15 rounds against Emile Griffith.
Tiger defeated José Torres in a 15-round decision in December 1966 to win the light-heavyweight title. Tiger lost the light-heavyweight title the next year, being knocked out in the fourth round by Bob Foster. He went into retirement in 1971.
