Fazila Amiri is an Afghan Canadian director and screenwriter based in Toronto. She holds an MFA in Film Production from York University. Her first documentary feature, AND STILL I SING (2022) premiered at the 2022 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival and won Best Music Documentary, Grand Jury Prize at the Nashville Film Festival, Fearless Award at Doc Edge Festival, Best Music Documentary Award at See The Sound Film Festival, and Grand Jury Prize at The Musical Écran Film Festival.
