Biography

Dean Sills was born on May 27, 1968 in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, UK. He is an actor and producer, known for Pond Life (2022), A Dollar to Die For (2022) and A Winter's Tale (2021).

Dean has raised money for several charities by taking part in fun runs, abseiling plus he also did a static parachute jump for cancer research.

Before Dean started acting he worked as a professional painter and decorator for many years. He did two years at Barnsley College Painting and Decorating and was awarded the British Decorating Association Shield for Best Student. He then went on to achieve a Diploma in Interior Design.

Dean Sills played the lead role of John in The Railway Carriage. This short film made its international film premiere at Nightpiece film festival at The Edinburgh Fringe on Saturday 29th August 2015. The festival had 2,101 submissions from 99 countries across the world and only 50 independent films were selected from 23 countries including The Railway Carriage.

Steve Call and Dean Sills won a platinum award in January 2017 for their show 'Up North' voted by Essex TV viewers in December 2016 as one of the top 5 shows to watch on Essex-TV and for reaching 100,000 viewers.
