Biography

Hovanes Marutyan was born on March 6, 1990, in the family of Alexander Marutyan (director of popular science and documentary films) and Olga Marutyan. Graduated VGIK (All-Russian State University of Cinematography) in 2011 from the workshop of honored professor Vadim Yusov. From 2011 to 2015 - studied at the postgraduate course at the Moscow State University of Cinematography with a degree in Cultural Studies. The topic of the research was 'Visual image in the history of Soviet cinematography in the period of the 1960-80s of the 20th century and its social and cultural significance'. Since 2011, has been actively involved in the production of films, television series as Cameraman and Second Unit DOP. DOP for several successful TV shows and commercials.
