Riley Engemoen is the founder of Netta Lou, a creative production studio where he works as a director and cinematographer, crafting documentary and branded films with a distinct visual approach. Rooted in Texas, his work reflects a fascination with the people, landscapes, and communities that shape Southern identity and culture.
His films have screened at SXSW, AFI Fest, and Palm Springs ShortFest. His most recent documentary, Forcefield of Love, received the Jury Award at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival. He has contributed to a range of films and television series, including Pedal South, Texas Monthly Presents: The Story, and Yakona. His commercial and branded work includes collaborations with BMW, YETI, and Airbnb. His work has been supported by the Austin Film Society, the National Endowment for the Arts, and The Andrew W.
