Having been born on the west coast of Canada, Steven Hoffart went to Vancouver Film School to study production design and cinematography. After his studies he found work in the local Vancouver film world as an Onset Dresser. He became known as "Flock of Seagulls". During the aftermath of the COVID pandemic he returned to film briefly.
