Born in Italy, daughter of an English high school teacher and a Navy officer. With an education in design, she decided to pursue the entertainment world after school and then after work. After seven years behind a desk working as an Architect in London and a show production designer for Walt Disney Imagineering in Hong Kong, in September 2015 she steered her path towards Directing and opened her own production company: Naiad Productions Ltd.
Lara directs/writes short movies and directs/designs for the stage.
Lara also continues her design career working in set decorating teams for studio feature films, among which the multi awarded movie 'Wicked' that won for best production design at the Oscars, Baftas, and BFDG.
As a writer, Lara has written the screenplay feature film adaptation of the previously directed stage play, "Bullet Hole", has pitched a TV series pilot, other screenplays, a children's book series with potentials in diverse media, an animation series, and several short movies.
