Biography

Nina Stemme is known for Tristan und Isolde (2007), Der Rosenkavalier (2004) and Judith (2020). She is married to Bengt Gomér. They have three children.

She started out as a mezzo-soprano, making her professional debut as Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro). She later retrained as a soprano.

She majored in business administration and economics, before being admitted to opera school.
