Chameleon character actress, Brenda Jo Reutebuch, was born Brenda Joan Sisson, October 25, in Adamsboro, Indiana. Brenda was quite the tomboy growing up. She spent most of her early childhood working with her father caring for the animals on their farm & fishing in the nearby rivers. Although Brenda Jo had been involved in the local theater and music programs in Logansport, Indiana during her school years, it would be years later before she made her film debut, at the age of 50.

Brenda Jo attended St. Paul Bible College (SPBC), in Minnesota, for 5 years studying in the Music Education & Church Music programs, always expecting her career to be in the field of music. She had been performing vocal music in public since grade school, and in the 4 years at Logansport High School, she was classically trained in private vocal lessons by Mr. Joseph Huffman. Her vocal training continued at SPBC under the tutelage of Mr. Leland Flickinger.

Brenda Jo has also been a member of a variety of musical groups, both vocal and instrumental. She has a near 4 octave vocal range. And plays "at" the piano/keyboard, clarinet & guitar. She is also a freelance/BTS photographer.

Soon after a Chicago ARTS Showcase, Brenda signed with the Helen Wells Agency, Indianapolis, Indiana. Within 2 years of this Chicago event, Brenda Jo's performance opportunities grew, including live theater performances and several film, commercial & television opportunities, starting with an indie feature, "This Promise I Made" (2012).

And now her passion for music has been utilized in film, as she has written her first song (Father Hold Me) for a feature film (Rose Wagon), a soon to be Christmas classic family film. She also sang 2 solos in this film.

Brenda Jo is looking forward with great anticipation to her future in the Arts, both on stage & on the screen.

Brenda Jo Reutebuch was 50 years old when she filmed her very first film role, Grandma Violet Miller in, "This Promise I Made".
Brenda Jo's first film opportunity, "This Promise I Made", was originally just supposed to be as set dressing-photos of the grandmother who passed away. But after meeting the screenwriter at the photo shoot, flashback scenes were written, so that Grandma Violet became an actual part of the film.
Brenda Jo's role of Nancy, the shelter admin. in "From Ashes" was originally written as a 50 year old man named Mark.
The character Mrs. Stratton, in "At The Foot Of The Rainbow", was so named in honor of the novel's author, Gene Stratton-Porter, upon which the screenplay is based.
As a vocalist, Brenda Jo has nearly a 4-Octave range. Although she sang 1st Soprano all through school, she more often sings Alto now. As the youngest of 4 girls, all of whom could sing, she often would have to find a part to sing on her own.
