Hugh Howey is the New York Times bestselling author of over twenty novels, including Wool, Sand, Beacon 23, Half Way Home, and Machine Learning. Prior to writing, Hugh worked as a yacht captain for over a decade. In 2015, he built a catamaran in South Africa and spent five years sailing it around the world. He lives (mostly) in New York with his wife Shay Londre.
