Biography

Michael Langman's short films have been selected by over twenty acclaimed film festivals including Dances with Films, The San Diego International Film Festival, Hollyshorts, and the Sedona International Film Festival.

His first film, "Of Teaching Killer Whales Compassion," won best short film at The Garden State Film Festival and was licensed by Indieflix. His second film, "Must Feed and Water," is a live action film featuring 80's style creature puppets and was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign. It was featured on the Kickstarter Home Page, as well as listed as a Staff Pick.

His latest short film, "Wake the Riderless Horse," (starring Scott Michael Foster, Beth Grant, and Pete Gardner) has played at film festivals around the world and also earned a Best Supporting Actress Award for Beth Grant at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. The film was a finalist at the world's longest running short film festival, The Rochester International Film Festival.

His pilot script for "Hell City, Hell" was an award winner at the ReelHeART International Screenplay and TV Pilot Script Competition in Toronto, Canada and was performed as a live reading as part of the festival programming.

In addition to his creative endeavors, Michael also owns the most successful background listing service in Los Angeles. His company has helped productions find background, photo doubles and stand-ins on hundreds of the world's most popular movies and television shows.

Michael is originally from the beautiful, rain-soaked Pacific Northwest but now resides in sunny Los Angeles, CA.
