Leonid Andronov is a Russian-born writer-director based in Los Angeles.
Deeply influenced by the New Drama movement-gritty, provocative plays by young writers that challenged the conventions of classic Russian theater-Leo developed his storytelling approach drawing on the techniques of Nikolai Kolyada, one of the movement's founding voices. After winning a top award at the Eurasia International Dramatist Competition, one of Russia's leading playwriting contests, he wrote and directed his first feature film, 29th Kilometer, a rock'n'roll drama inspired by his experience as a musician.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2012, he has worked with Adore Creative on international campaigns, including official promos for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the XXII Winter Olympics, before returning to independent filmmaking.
