Marija Matuzic is widely considered to be the best and most popular woman football player in Croatia of the 20th century. She displayed her talent for playing football already at the age of 13. In the 1980s, Matuzic impressed the audience in Italy so much that they gave her the nickname "Maca Maradona". Statistics show that she achieved over 1,500 goals in several football games.
