John O. Brennan was born on September 22, 1955 in North Bergen, New Jersey, USA.

His father Owen was born and raised in County Roscommon, Ireland.

John Brennan was the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from March 2013 to January 2017.

He was nominated for the 2024 New Jersey Hall of Fame in the Public Service category.
