- Having originally studied Journalism, he has worked as programmer, producer, distributor and cultural manager. He is the founder of production and distribution company Storyboard Media as well as he is the founder of Sanfic, Santiago International Film Festival. Currently, he works as Director of both. In 2017 he served as jury in the official section Berlinale Shorts of the International Film Festival of Berlin in Germany.
He has produced, among other films, " Santiago, Italia" from renowned Italian director Nanni Moretti in co- production with Sacher Films (Italy), Le Pacte (France) and RAI Cinema ( Italy) which was released at Torino Film Festival 2018 and then, was winner at Italy's biggest film event, the David di Donatello awards, as Best Documentary 2019.
Actually, he is the producer of "Jailbreak Pact" - biggest Chilean release of the last 2 years by Fox/Disney- directed by David Albala ( 2020).
In 2017 he produced the multi award- winning film "Adriana's Pact" from the director Lissette Orozco, which was released at Berlinale Panorama 2017 and nominated as Best Documentary for Iberoamerican Fénix Film Awards 2017 and Platino Awards 2018.
In 2015 he produced "The Mud Woman", directed by Sergio Castro, which was released in the Forum section of the Berlinale 2015.
In 2013 Carlos premiered " The Film Critic" directed by Hernán Guerschuny, which was released in Raindance Film Festival (UK) and then, was winner of the Kikito Critic prize at Gramado Film Festival (Brasil).
The same year, he produced "Igloo" by the Chilean actor and director Diego Ruíz, winner as a "Emerging Talent" at Outfest Los Angeles Usa (2013).
